Welcome to Luxury Spa Retreats (“we”, “our”, “us”).
We operate as a UK-based independent travel content and consultancy brand, focused on editorial storytelling, partnerships, and curated spa and wellness experiences.
By using this website, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.


1. 1. Introduction & Legal Basis

Luxury Spa Retreats (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates exclusively as a wellness travel consultancy and introducer.
We do not act as:

  • a tour operator
  • a travel agent
  • a package organiser
  • a principal in the supply of travel services

Our role is to provide wellness recommendations, itinerary design, and introductions to trusted spa resorts and Destination Management Companies (DMCs).

When you choose to book a trip we have designed, your contract will be formed directly with the resort, DMC, hotel, retreat, or service provider (“Travel Provider”).

By engaging with Luxury Spa Retreats, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • We do not arrange, contract, combine, or sell travel services.
  • We do not create or sell “packages” under the Package Travel & Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018 (PTR).
  • All financial and legal responsibility lies with the Travel Provider issuing your booking confirmation.
  • We act solely as an introducer and design consultant.

2. No Packaging or Arrangement of Travel Services

To avoid any ambiguity:

  • We do not package spa services, accommodation, wellness programmes, flights, or transport.
  • Any itinerary or wellness plan we provide is for inspiration only and does not constitute a package holiday.
  • You enter into contracts directly with each Travel Provider.
  • We do not act as an intermediary or agent in the formation of those contracts.

This ensures Luxury Spa Retreats cannot be classified as a package organiser under PTR.


3. Booking Process

  • All bookings, payments, amendments, and confirmations are handled directly between you and the Travel Provider.
  • We do not handle payments, deposits, card details, or financial transactions for any travel services.
  • Only the Travel Provider has the authority to confirm your booking and issue your documentation.
  • You must carefully review the Travel Provider’s Terms & Conditions.

Luxury Spa Retreats has no authority to contract on your behalf.


4. Financial Protection

  • Financial protection (e.g. ATOL, ABTA, local bonding, insolvency insurance) is provided by the Travel Provider you book with.
  • Luxury Spa Retreats does not hold an ATOL licence and does not provide financial protection.
  • We do not verify or guarantee the protection offered by third-party providers.

Your booking confirmation from the Travel Provider will set out the applicable protection.


5. Travel Insurance (Mandatory)

You must obtain comprehensive travel insurance prior to departure covering:

  • cancellation and curtailment
  • medical treatment
  • repatriation
  • spa or activity cancellations
  • lost property
  • travel disruption or delays

Luxury Spa Retreats accepts no liability for losses that should reasonably be covered by adequate insurance. It is the traveller’s responsibility to ensure their policy provides sufficient cover for all elements of their trip.


6. Changes & Cancellations

  • All cancellations, amendments, or refund requests must be made directly with the Travel Provider.
  • Their Terms & Conditions apply in full.
  • Luxury Spa Retreats cannot authorise refunds, issue credits, or override supplier policies.

We will support communication where possible, but we are not the contracting party.


7. Itinerary Accuracy & Wellness Information

All descriptions, images, spa details, wellness programmes, and suggested itineraries are based on information supplied by Travel Providers at the time of communication.

We make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy, but:

  • spa programmes may change
  • facilities may vary by season
  • availability & pricing can fluctuate
  • treatments may differ based on practitioner or local conditions

Luxury Spa Retreats is not responsible for variations, changes, or inaccuracies outside our control.


8. Limitation of Liability

Luxury Spa Retreats acts solely as a design consultant and introducer.

We:

  • accept no liability for the acts, omissions, or defaults of any Travel Provider
  • do not guarantee the performance, quality, suitability, safety, or results of any spa, wellness programme, retreat, or resort
  • are not responsible for injury, loss, damage, delay, or irregularity caused by third parties or force majeure

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability shall never exceed the value of any consultancy fees paid directly to us (if applicable).


9. Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • ensuring all travellers meet entry, health, and documentation requirements
  • understanding the health implications of any spa or wellness treatments
  • consulting a medical professional about treatment suitability where required
  • reviewing your Travel Provider’s T&Cs carefully
  • complying with resort health, safety, and wellness guidelines
  • purchasing comprehensive insurance

We are not liable for issues arising from missed requirements, medical conditions, or travel disruption.


10. Wellness Safety Disclaimer

Wellness activities, treatments, and spa therapies may involve physical, thermal, or hydrotherapeutic elements.

By booking through a Travel Provider, you acknowledge that:

  • participation is voluntary
  • you are responsible for monitoring your own physical condition
  • you will disclose relevant medical information to the provider
  • the provider is solely responsible for treatment safety and delivery

Luxury Spa Retreats does not provide medical advice or accept responsibility for treatment outcomes.


11. Force Majeure

We cannot be held liable for events outside our control or that of the Travel Provider, including:

  • extreme weather
  • political unrest
  • natural disasters
  • strikes or industrial action
  • pandemics or public health restrictions
  • actions of local authorities

These events fall outside the scope of our consultancy role.


12. Complaints

If you encounter any issue during your stay, you must notify the Travel Provider immediately so it can be resolved locally.

Luxury Spa Retreats will assist with communication but is not responsible for resolving disputes or providing compensation.


13. Data & Privacy

We comply with UK GDPR.
Your data is used solely to:

  • deliver wellness consultancy
  • connect you with Travel Providers
  • communicate trip-related updates

We do not sell or share your data beyond this purpose.

14. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes will be handled exclusively by the courts of England and Wales.
